The Rolex Middle Sea Race is a unique test in offshore racing. Starting and finishing in the same place, the counterclockwise circumnavigation of Sicily marks the close of the Mediterranean yachting season. Every year, hundreds of international yachts set off from Malta’s capital of Valetta to take on a spectacular 605 nautical mile course that includes passing the active volcanic island of Stromboli.
