My galley make over has been slowly happening over the last few months, from a brand new kitchen floor to a new table top and a new benchtop. I tiled a mosaic backsplash behind the sink, and for anyone telling me not to tile my boat, hey it looks epic so please be quiet! :) Thank you! But the actual questions: was it a good idea installing a mixer tap in the kitchen? Yes and no! It is great to have hot water, to be able to clean my dishes properly and what not, but on the other hand having a proper tap means I use a lot more water! And on a boat fresh water is sacred. I don't have a water maker. I am very aware of how much water I use, but if I have guest over and they turn the tap on and the water runs, it always gives me an anxious feeling. Switch back to a foot pump and cold water? I don't think so, but I am tempted to install a saltwater pump to rinse off dishes etc... Let me know what you guys would do! IG:yvonnemarianna.travels

The River Class is the oldest class racing on Strangford Lough and the fleet of 12 boats which first raced at Royal Ulster Yacht Club have now moved to Strangford Lough Yacht Club (SLYC). The boats were designed by naval architect Alfred Mylne and their origins trace back to 1919 when Belfast Lough sailors were looking for a simple and elegant one-design class to race.
