A cockpit designed around visibility, communication and life at sea 🌊 At Windelo, the forward central cockpit is more than a design signature — it completely changes the onboard experience. From the helm, communication with the crew remains natural and direct, whether they are on deck, handling lines on the aft platforms or moving forward along the side decks. The circulation onboard is fluid, intuitive and secure, making manoeuvres smoother and daily life at anchor far more comfortable. This unique layout also creates a protected living space connected to the ocean, with panoramic visibility and seamless access throughout the catamaran. Following the Captains of Industry Roundtable, guests gathered for the inaugural Compass Dinner at Ripples waterfront restaurant, Darling Harbour. It was the perfect finale to a day of insight, collaboration and industry-wide connection. The evening brought together more than 80 captains, owners, key partners and industry leaders for an elegant dinner designed to inspire, reflect and continue the conversations sparked throughout the day. Set against a backdrop of a glowing Darling Harbour, guests enjoyed a relaxed but refined atmosphere, moving seamlessly from the intensity of the Roundtable to an evening of storytelling, laughter and thoughtful dialogue. The Compass Dinner was created with intention – to close the day not with formality, but with meaning. A chance for our industry’s leaders to unwind, connect on a deeper level and share perspectives in a setting that felt intimate, warm and genuinely celebratory. The highlight of the evening was a captivating ‘fireside-style’ conversation between two exceptional Australians: Dr Daniel Nour, founder of Street Side Medics and the 2022 Young Australian of the Year, and pioneering explorer Mike McDowell, whose career has taken him from Antarctica to the Titanic. Their contrasting journeys – one rooted in compassion and community impact, the other in discovery, science and fearless exploration – offered guests a rare blend of inspiration and insight. Another special moment was the auction of a limited edition Seiko Prospex timepiece which raised $10,000 for the valuable work of the International SeaKeepers Society.
