Tunisia bound aboard our sailboat Kaia 🇹🇳 ⛵️ Waiting for the right weather window, we consider factors such as wind patterns and sea states to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey. As we set off from Sardinia, we bid farewell to it’s stunning coastline dotted with rugged cliffs and azure waters. We sail southward, into the immense open sea, with only the sound of the wind and waves for company. 48hours of non-stop sailing lays ahead! Navigating the Mediterranean waters requires careful navigation and seamanship. We keep a lookout for other vessels as we sail under the moonlight. It’s difficult to explain the feeling of freedom as our boat glides through the endless expanse of blue. We approach the coastline of Tunisia, marvelling at the sight of the ancient ruins and bustling ports. After two days of sailing, arriving in Monastir marks the culmination of our voyage (our longest sail yet). We dock the boat and can’t wait to step ashore and discover the rich and vibrant culture of Tunisian culture, our new home for the next few months! Nacht auf See erreichen wir Santorin. https://korfu-segeln.de/segeltoern-quer-durch-griechenland/ https://korfu-segeln.de Korfu – Zakynthos – Peloponnes – Santorin – Rhodos in 5 Tagen 3 Stunden und 52 Minuten und ohne Landberührung… Das ist ein Segeltörn durch Griechenland der ungewöhnlichen Art! 551,7 Seemeilen ganz ohne Sirtaki, Tsatsiki und Souvlaki. Bei der Überführung der Segelyacht “Makani”, einer Sigma 38 von Korfu nach Rhodos vom 8. bis 13. April und am 16. April nach Marmaris ist alles anders, was man sonst vom Segeln in Griechenland kennt. Hunter Impala 28 "Jiminy Cricket" win the joint start to the 2022 Bar Buoy Race. They hit the line with speed and held off the leading IRC 1 yachts for the first stretch of the race. With the main back winding as the apparent wind increase and moved forward as the tide took hold and pushed them out towards the Bar Buoy at speed. Strangford Sailing Club once again did a great job kicking off the annual narrows series with a great race out and back into the narrows. Jimminy Cricket GBR 9507 went on to finish 6th in the IRC2 fleet.
