Michael & Heike have travelled the oceans themselves for over 40 years. But, it was back in the early 2000s, when they were determined to find a better way to supply energy to the propulsion system and the onboard appliances of yachts. After years of dedicated research, this led to the birth of the Solarwave 46 in 2009 – their first prototype of a solar powered catamaran. In 2010, they initiated a rigorous four-year sea trial. They crossed Europe by river, sailed the Black Sea, the stormy Aegean, as well as the vast Mediterranean. This was the proof of concept that the reliable solar electric drivetrain was an ideal choice for a self-sufficient and emission free lifestyle on board. Sneak peek into the Solarwave 46 voyage, back in 2010! #solaryachting #yacht #yachtdesign #yachts #solar #solarenergy #solarpowered #boat #boatinglifestyle #boatinglife #boatlife #boats #sail #sailors #sailor #future #katamaran #catamaran #oceantravel #technology #electric #luxuryyacht #innovation #tech #silentyachts #boating #history #experience For more information, click here: https://company.silent-yachts.com/history/ https://www.silent-yachts.com Follow us here: https://www.facebook.com/silentyachts https://www.instagram.com/silent_yachts_headquarters https://www.twitter.com/Silent_Yachts

iFLY REVIEW - foiling A-Cat sailors talking about their experience sailing the iFLY RAZZOR Pro. Cayman Islands. Dragon Bay Sailing Club. ••• Alun Davies: former Olympic sailor (Tornado class): “What a boat! it feels like it’s meant to be there. Born to fly.” “It’s way easier than the Acat. With the A-Cat you are just on the edge!” “It’s an incredible boat! And it’s just a lot more relaxing ... ... and doing the same speed as on an A-Cat!” “What a beast! You are praying it doesn’t go any faster! Yeah, please don’t go any faster!” “And it flies so stable, it just doesn’t want to land ! ••• Phil Cater, foiling A-Cat sailor, Grand Cayman: “This is my first day on trying out the brand new to the club iFLY15. I am an A-Cat sailor and this is the first time I have tried this. Certainly, it is a lot more stable. And we are getting up in very light winds. I had a great flight! and a lot more steady flying downwind than I’ve been doing on the A-Cat” “It’s a lot more flight time.” “That was a great, pleasant experience... and she is very forgiving”.
