Just a little fact about sea turtles, This threatened species possesses a powerful jaw and an incredibly resilient beak. The rough, fibrous structure of seagrass and algae can be torn apart by it. Because their teeth are designed to grind, they can effectively eat by using this motion to break down the tough fibers of the plants into smaller bits that are easier to digest.
