Night sailing just got easier! πβ΅ Sector lights are a crucial navigation tool for every beginner sailor. When you view the beam dead-on, it appears white β this means you are in the safe sector. Drift too far to one side and the color changes: green tells you your angle is incorrect and to turn port, while red signals danger and a course correction to starboard. Understanding sector lights helps you avoid hazards, shoals, or drifting off course at night. A program through the Alberta government has been implemented to restore historical wetlands on agricultural properties. The county applied for the grant and asked me to host the project here on the farm. Of course, everyone here was in agreement. 80 year old aerial photos and other evidence indicate that this field had wetlands that were subsequently filled in and lost. As happens everywhere that factory farming occurs. Now, in order to destroy wetlands on your land, you have to pay a fee. Those fees go into these WRP (Wetland Restoration Project) projects. I feel great that we are contributing to the development of habitat for countless pollinators, amphibians, and bird and mammal life with this project. Iβll put out a full-length video soon with more details.
