Yay. We are finally setting sail from West Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island in Northern Bahamas. We managed to get our paper to leave the US stamped at the airport, received our Covid negative test results, applied to the Bahamas Health Visa, got accepted and paid for it. We only have 5 days from the date of testing to get to the Bahamas so that's why we're leaving tonight. The wind is going to be light but hopefully we get a little more. I bought this gear for emergency use only. In case my prop gets entangled again. The first time it happened it was nearly catastrophic as the sudden stop of the prop from the entangled next sent a vibration and micro debris up the shaft to the dripless seal and the boat began to leak .. . which I was not aware of until I woke up after a nap having being pulled to port by the coast guard and the water was now above the floorboards.
