Yay. We are finally setting sail from West Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island in Northern Bahamas. We managed to get our paper to leave the US stamped at the airport, received our Covid negative test results, applied to the Bahamas Health Visa, got accepted and paid for it. We only have 5 days from the date of testing to get to the Bahamas so that's why we're leaving tonight. The wind is going to be light but hopefully we get a little more. We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. On June 19'th 2014 the beautiful M/Y Polar Bear was totaled by fire. On June 22' 2013 we saw her on the dock at Roche Harbor Washington and took these shots with the hope that one day we would be able to do a complete video on her.
