Is our logo a cheap ripoff of Sailing La Vagabonde? Did we use their old wooden helm as a circle? We actively follow more than 80 other sailing channels and combined they use almost every part of a boat, so, it is difficult to find something sailing related :-) But none of them uses the instrument a sailor stares at the most on watch during a passage...the wind indicator. The problem with ALL wind indicators is that they discriminate against Catamarans! So, we decided to speak up for the minority group :-) We broke the monohull's nose to form two hulls ;-) go catamarans! It is the real, and on scale, top view of the Leopard 45 Catamaran. In this episode of Sailing Sacred Seas, we say goodbye to the magical island of Ibiza and set sail on our second offshore passage to Mallorca aboard our Liveaboard sailboat, Kaia our Lagoon 440. With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey.
