What is Raiding? At our events, which span four days of sailing, each day's races (or non-competitive group sailing, depending on which boat you're on) are divided between our smaller craft and larger yachts. Routes are set by Matt and most participants are lined up for the starting sequence! Cream tea or a picnic moored up in a cove, the days vary depending on where we sail and the weather of course. Evenings are spent unwinding by the water with a cold drink, followed by a delicious meal and the day's prize-giving, always full of good humour. Some of the hardier sailors stay aboard their Swallow, while others opt for a more luxurious stay in nearby accommodations. Unlike traditional racing, raiding is all about camaraderie, strategy, and skill—without the use of engines. It’s just wind, water, and teamwork! Cosa significa dormire in rada? Vuol dire trascorrere la notte in una baia, protetta da vento e onde, con la barca ormeggiata grazie all’ancora. È un modo bellissimo di vivere il mare. Dormire in rada ti permette di avere un vero contatto con la Natura: potrai ammirare splendidi tramonti sul mare e vedere le baie quando i turisti giornalieri sono ormai andati via. Le onde ti culleranno e la mattina ti sveglierai in posti meravigliosi, subito pronta o pronto per una colazione vista mare o addirittura per un bagno ancor prima di prendere il caffè. Per noi non c’è cosa più bella che svegliarsi così, in mezzo alla Natura.
