In this video we show how to stop leech flutter in a genoa by tightening the leech line. The tightening mechanism may vary from sail to sail, but the principle is the same. Tighten the leech line until the sail stops fluttering, but not so much as to cause a hook in the leech. Kate and Andrew just got married. Both are Long Islanders but had never been to Montauk until their honeymoon. We spent the end of their first full day as husband and wife roaring out to Gardiners Island and back. Andrew had never sailed before, but he was a natural, holding a steady course and surfing Mon Tiki down the larger waves like he was born to it!
