In this video we show how to stop leech flutter in a genoa by tightening the leech line. The tightening mechanism may vary from sail to sail, but the principle is the same. Tighten the leech line until the sail stops fluttering, but not so much as to cause a hook in the leech. J109 Going to Red was in the presence of sailing royalty during the Harbour Race of Cork Week 2024. After rounding the harbour mark off the main city Going to red cross, the two time winner of the famous Fastnet race on a two sail reach across the harbour front. Our main sheet trimmer JW leads the cheers as the jolly green giant on the seas sails by. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you like this short clip from our week of racing at Volvo Cork Week 2024.
