We bring the boat to a stop by heaving to. This is where we tack the boat but don't touch the sheet, so the headsail lies 'aback'. Once we have the wind on the main driving us forward, and the wind on the headsail pushing us back, and with the helm turned towards the wind, the boat will come to a stop. Oggi lasciamo st. Lucia per continuare verso sud, vogliamo raggiungere le Grenadine prima di tornare verso nord e iniziare la nostra risalita. Fatti i documenti torniamo a bordo, issiamo il gommone e molliamo il gavitello. Una giornata grigia, che non sempre ha un’accezione negativa. Oggi ci godiamo un po’ di filtro dal sole in più. Arriviamo di notte dopo una veleggiata piacevole e veniamo accolti da un boat boy, simpatico e cordiale, che ci aiuta nell’ancoraggio.
