We finally get hold and jump in our tender Rocco while the other single hands SV Panda, our 1980 Amel Sharki ketch rigged sailing machine. We purposefully reefed down quite a bit just to keep boat speeds down in the 18kts of wind. UBI Maior’s JB Jiber works without the usual aluminium extruded foil. Instead, the forestay is linked to the drum and swivel and rotates to furl the sail. It means that the sail can be hoisted up and down and the halyard tension can be adjusted at any time.
