Alle 22 UTC di martedì 16 luglio, all'inizio del quarto giorno di Transpac, Maserati Multi 70 naviga di nuovo mure a destra, con il timone senza foil. Giovanni Soldini spiega: "Da questo lato soffriamo molto, la barca sembra un cavallo imbizzarrito: accelera, si impenna e poi si schianta in acqua frenando un sacco. Senza foil del timone perdiamo il controllo del assetto longitudinale e più di 25-26 nodi di media non c'è verso di andare. Have you ever wondered how and why we apply the flecks of colour you see on our floor? On traditional flowcoat floors, fleck provides much needed grip to what would be an otherwise slippery surface. On our modern moulded floors, the grip is provided by our 'non-skid' pattern and the fleck is just there for it's good looks! It is the first thing we apply to the mould. Each colour is carefully sprinkled with a spray gun to ensure an even application before the next solid binding layer of gelcoat and in this case the customer's choice of Storm Grey.
