Until now, the yard was offering an optional helm station featuring a retractable T-Top for protection, but aboard the 62, there’s an immense 538-square foot (50 m²) flybridge that remains fixed. This generous surface area provides space for a bar, galley, dining table and large bench-seating for 10 to 12 people. The flybridge is of course covered by a vast T-Top, which not only provides protection but, above all, is suitable for installing an optimal surface area of solar panels. But the manufacturer goes a step further than the classic open fly version - which is the one we got to test at Cannes - as this third level can also be converted into a closed saloon or owner’s suite. Il tempo corre con noi e noi proviamo a superarlo. Vogliamo essere all’imbocco di Gibilterra entro lunedì sera per capire il da farsi e per evitare la sventagliata che torna a soffiare da nord. Allora vela e motore, motore e vela. Ogni tanto si alza il vento e riduciamo motore, senza mai riuscire a spegnerlo. Teniamo una media di 7 nodi a 40 gradi con il vento. Chiacchiere, silenzi, riposo e lampughe insaporiscono questa veleggiata e ci portano miglio dopo miglio sempre più vicini a casa.
