The boat is chewing through fuel faster than normal. A strong south wind shaves a knot off my speed and towing Higher Puppus shaves another knot off my speed. With the headwinds, I couldn't sail right now if I had the mast up! It's been an interesting day though! Guinness has confirmed that Patri McLaughlin broke the World Record for the largest wave ever kitesurfed: 72 ft 4 in (22.5 M) at Jaws on Maui on 1/22/23. The previous record was set in Portugal in 2018, for a 62 ft wave.
