The day finally came! After so many false starts, marina delays and rollercoaster emotions, she is finally where she belongs: in the water!! This time-lapse video shows us getting her secured in the travel lift slings, and following her out of the cradle and over the launch area… kept reminding myself to breathe!
Joe Woods and Red were having a good regatta on San Francisco Bay, when one small error, a round up while setting the chute in Race 6 of the 2010 Melges Worlds, led to disaster. Red continued on immediately after the crash but retired when damage to the boat and an injured crewman made continuing to race unsustainable. A full regatta video will follow shortly on the VinceSail Channel.
Hey guys, I think knowing your knots is a very important part of boat life since you gotta use knots every single day - but I do know a surprisingly big number of sailors who are more the “if you don’t know how to knot, knot a lot” type! 🤪😂 I definitely always make sure to tie off my dinghy properly- you don’t wanna come back to where you “parked” your dinghy, just to find an empty spot - happens more often to sailors than you’d think. 🤣😜 But KNOT on my watch! Bowline for the win! 😁💪 What’s your favorite knot? Cheers guys, Kristina
