The day finally came! After so many false starts, marina delays and rollercoaster emotions, she is finally where she belongs: in the water!! This time-lapse video shows us getting her secured in the travel lift slings, and following her out of the cradle and over the launch area… kept reminding myself to breathe!
California Living ® TV host Aprilanne Hurley offers, "As we see with the 2015 Valley fire, devastation from Natural Disasters can happen at any time. " On behalf of California Living ® and Inside Look TV, Hurley launches the California Living® "Be Prepared" for Natural Disasters Campaign to co-inside with the month of September - "National Preparedness Month." "While living in California certainly has its perks," Hurley adds, "We have to take the good with the bad and be prepared for Natural Disasters such as earthquakes, fires and floods - which can strike in California at any time." We at Lyman-Morse have been through the infusion process many times, but never like this. We recently infused this giant 80’ x 32’ piece — just the first half of the eventual 3000 square foot glass and carbon laminated canopy that will cover the subway entrance at the new urban center that is Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA. The engineered canopy made of glass and carbon fiber laminates and designed by Perkins + Will architects of Boston and NADAAA, embodies the innovative spirit of the project and adds to the uniqueness of the pedestrian streetscape. Too big to be trucked overland, the canopy will be loaded onto a barge and shipped to its location. Video by Alison Langley. Built by Lyman-Morse.
