Après sa mise à l'eau fin juillet, le nouveau voilier de la gamme OVNI a tiré ses premiers bords aux Sables d'Olonne. L'OVNI 370 conserve l'ADN des voiliers du chantier Alubat : 100% aluminium - dériveur intégral dédié au grand voyage répondant aux critères de la catégorie A. Il intègre aussi des particularités de son grand frère, l'OVNI 400 : rouf panoramique, étrave arrondie et inversée, double poste de barre, bi-safran... L'OVNI 370 se veut simple et éco responsable, il est notamment doté d'une dérive légère relevable manuellement et il est entièrement isolé en standard avec du liège projeté. Ce voilier est proposé en deux versions d'aménagement : la version classique avec un carré central et la version salon de pont avec un carré décentré et surélevé ainsi que la table à cartes permettant d'assurer les veilles à l'intérieur. The two halves of the 16x30 wind tunnel are joined. As in boat building, the composite team built a mold from the precision cut frames, and laid in the composite layers. In this particular case, the parts were made in quadrants from male molds which create the inner surface of the wind tunnels. To finish the inner surface, the inside of the tunnels includes a layer or gelcoat. When assembled the wind tunnel will be 30’ long with a 16’ diameter. This tunnel is destined for a major academic research facility on the East coast of the United States. Among its many aerodynamics functions, the tunnel will be used to support aerospace research projects. Lyman Morse Technologies, LLC regularly executes non-marine projects.

Foi dada a largada para a 48ª Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela, realizada entre os dias 24 e 31 de julho de 2021, no Yacht Club de Ilhabela (YCI), no litoral norte paulista. Neste sábado (24), velejadores e jornalistas se credenciaram para o evento, que conta com protocolo rígido de saúde por conta da pandemia Covid-19. As tripulações também aproveitaram para fazer os últimos ajustes em seus barcos para as primeiras regatas do evento. O grande encontro da modalidade conta com 80 barcos das principais classes de vela oceânica, como ORC, RGS, Mini Transat, Multicasco, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. E, pela primeira vez, reúne regatas presenciais e virtuais, com as provas online feitas pelo aplicativo Virtual Regatta Inshore.
