Here we are rigging a reef line while underway. We had swapped the laminate main sail out for the Dacron main sail before leaving the dock, because it was quite windy and the Dacron sail is more robust. But we didn't rig the second reef line properly and had to pull it out in order to raise the sail. So here we are sailing under the first reef, while I climbed onto the boom to re-rig the second reef. I’m wearing a climbing harness attached to the spinnaker halyard for safety. Understanding what your triggers are, is deeply important for emotional wellness. Here is a closer examination of the five most common triggers that impact us daily: 1. 📢Sound: Many sounds, such as screams or specific music, can have a very emotional impact or bring back memories, bringing the past in through the body's consciousness. 2. 👃Smell : Smell is strongly associated with memory. A familiar smell from a perfume or food can bring back an important memory, good or bad. 3. 🌃Place: Sometimes places can have psychological effects. Returning to the spot of a tragic event may bring back those feelings of fear or anxiety. 4. 👥People: This sometimes leaves one with fear or anxiety, especially when related to previous adverse experiences. 5. 🤝Touch: It also evokes extremely strong reactions. Something that is safe to feel when embraced warmly may be painful if not invited. Knowing these triggers will help you overcome them much better. You can be empowered by knowing what makes you tick to heal more effectively.

Sorry about the wind noise but a VoiceOver would not capture the moment. We’ll try to find a ‘dead kitten’ microphone. So who’s figured out where we ended up? 🙂 Regards, Rick and Carolyn.
