The Rio 2016 One Person Dinghy (Laser) fleet will welcome a bumper 46 boats, making it the largest fleet at the Olympic Games. Laser sailing will see some of the closest, compact racing of any of the Olympic fleets with each sailor receiving a supplied boat, ensuring an even playing field. With races scheduled for inside and outside Guanabara Bay, it will see the best all-round sailor conquer. Transit 38 cruising catamaran by Woods Designs overtaking a 41ft FP Lipari to windward in 15-20 knots wind. One cruising couple on each boat. When we met the Lipari we were sailing in the other direction, so had to gybe round to chase them. So we started maybe 1/4mile behind them and right behind. we slowly caught them up. Pointing higher and sailing faster. It is hard to film and steer at the same time!
