armatore: (s.m.) (Terminologia) shipowner Persona o impresa, non necessariamente proprietaria, che utilizza l'imbarcazione per effettuare trasporti o servizi. Riferito ad imbarcazioni da diporto indica normalmente, ma non obbligatoriamente, il proprietario. Infatti se il proprietario affitta ad un terzo l'imbarcazione, tale terza parte in veste di armatore sarà gestore e responsabile in toto dell'imbarcazione stessa. In tal caso si stipula una "dichiarazione di armamento banchina: (s.f.) (Strutture) quay, pier Zona portuale che, con opere murarie e con idonee attrezzature, è resa adatta all'attracco di imbarcazioni e navi.
