Il trimarano italiano è partito insieme a 15 altri multiscafi, tra cui il 105’ Ultim 32/23 Maxi Edmond De Rothschild di Cyril Dardashti, con skipper Franck Cammas e Charles Caudrelier, che nel 2019 ha fissato il record dei multiscafi della regata (1 giorno, 4 ore, 2 minuti e 26 secondi). Il diretto concorrente di Maserati Multi 70 è il MOD 70 Argo di Jason Carroll, a bordo del quale è presente anche Brian Thompson, uno degli skipper più esperti di multiscafi spesso sfidato da Soldini. Per questa edizione della storica regata di 695 miglia, organizzata dal Royal Ocean Racing Club, sono partite a scaglioni 336 imbarcazioni, tagliando la starting line con 24 nodi da Ovest e cielo coperto: dovranno uscire dal Solent con vento contrario e tempo severo. Successivamente attraverseranno il Mar Celtico fino al Fastnet, al largo dell’Irlanda, prima di tornare indietro verso il traguardo, al largo di Cherbourg, sulla costa settentrionale della Francia. Recently, I again had Chuck along as crew on Freelance, my Pearson 36 Cutter (Pearson 367). We were tacking up the Apostle Islands' North Channel in a fresh breeze (15-25 knots apparently wind), flying along at hull speed.(about 7.5 knots) We both took two-hour tricks on the wheel. It was fun beat to windward.

The J109 Going to Red was in a good position to leeward of the at the start of the Portaferry regatta 2025. It was a perfect day for sailing with the sun shinning on the river and close racing between all the boats. The redline racing team did not look back after leading on the main part of the lough increasing their lead at every mark to take the win in the the final race of the 2025 Narrows Season.
