Seacocks are bronze valves in a boat and are used as a safety measure for closing off holes below the water line and keeping water out of the boat for either maintenance or emergencies. We have 4 total on Seawind, and one of them has been giving us trouble for the past couple of years. I cleaned and greased this particular seacock, and ever since, it’s seeped a bit of water into the boat. Finally! The Wild Thing 100 grapevine helped us capture her arriving through Sydney Heads this morning (Sunday), this time with her sails up. Sailing down from Queensland over the last 24 hours, her AIS showed her clocking some solid speeds.
