Seacocks are bronze valves in a boat and are used as a safety measure for closing off holes below the water line and keeping water out of the boat for either maintenance or emergencies. We have 4 total on Seawind, and one of them has been giving us trouble for the past couple of years. I cleaned and greased this particular seacock, and ever since, it’s seeped a bit of water into the boat. This a nice trick we use to create multiple points of attachment to places we do not have a lit of cleats or rings to the dock, like in Hydra island. bowline one side and trackers Hitch from the other side to make the line super tension and we use it as a ring.
