A dear friend (also sailor) Jean-Maurice was battling last stages of cancer. He's got the sailing bug. Sailed this passage before on a Class 40. I sent him this short of myself back in January 2010 when solo-sailing the North Atlantic from Las Palmas, Canary Islands to Mindelo, Cabo Verde.

When people ask me why we help animals and not people, I say to them - we do help people. Animal and human health are intrinsically linked, when animals suffer we all suffer.
