Next, we visited the quieter island of Vis, where untouched nature and hidden beaches welcomed us. While some of us took to snorkeling and discovering the underwater wonders, others relaxed on the deck with rum cocktails in hand—an ode to Jamaica’s signature spirit. The island of Korčula, often called "Little Dubrovnik," brought out the history buffs in us. As we explored its medieval walls and winding streets, we couldn't help but draw parallels to the fortresses of Port Royal back in Jamaica. Both islands hold deep historical significance, making the connection between our two worlds even stronger. Food and Flavor: A Culinary Fusion One of the highlights of the trip was the food. Croatia's Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, with fresh seafood and olive oil-drizzled dishes, paired beautifully with the bold flavors we brought from Jamaica. On the boat, we cooked up a storm—grilled fish marinated in jerk seasoning, served with a side of Croatian peka (a slow-cooked dish).
