► They are 7, 5 and 2 years old and their names are Nelson, Charlotte and Mathilda. They’ve just spent a week on board a Sunsail 454 (Leopard 45) from the Phuket base with their parents – two couples. ► “Embarking with the family on a multihull in Thailand is about offering the children an adventure they’ll remember for the rest of their lives! Sailing out of Phuket, in the far south of Thailand, we headed for the paradise islands of the Andaman Sea. From the very beginning of the trip, the children transformed into little sailors, curious about everything: hoisting the sails, spotting the multicolored fish and diving into the waters of secret bays. Life on board quickly settled into a rhythm of swimming, playing on the catamaran's trampoline and relaxing while watching the sunset. Ashore, the children loved meeting the monkeys of Koh Phi Phi Don - even if these macaques, who come down from the surrounding jungle to scavenge for food from the tourists, can be a bit unpredictable. Our cruise was much more than a vacation, it was a timeless interlude where kids and grown-ups shared some unique times together. An unforgettable experience that’s already making us want to go back!” ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests! Two boats appeared on the horizon, far from any coast. No AIS. No context. We stayed vigilant.

Day 3. A bit of a restart. After stopping in Terceira, it was time to leave again. And what really stood out to me today was just how… easy it felt. Before my previous sails, everything always felt big and stressful. Rushing to get ready before the weather window closed, fixing things last minute, feeling nervous before leaving. This time was completely different. The boat had been ready for days. I had already provisioned. I knew the weather was good. There was no stress, no panic. At some point I just thought, “yeah, I’m gonna head to France now.” Like it was a completely normal thing to say. And of course, when I actually said it out loud to people, they looked at me like I was insane. Which honestly made me laugh a little. But it felt really cool to realize that somewhere along the way, this has become normal to me. Crossing oceans alone doesn’t feel huge and terrifying anymore. It just feels like sailing. And that’s a pretty big milestone. The sailing itself was also absolutely beautiful. I left in the middle of a regatta with the local yacht club, which made the departure feel really special. Then I just kept sailing with the wind behind me, eventually setting twin headsails for the first time. And wow. The boat felt amazing. The sailing felt effortless. Everything just worked. It honestly turned into one of my favorite sailing days so far. 🌊 ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey toward one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology. The persistent anxiety surrounding vessel maintenance expenses is often overstated. A direct comparison can be drawn to standard automotive care: the cost difference between paying a shop for an oil change and performing the service yourself is significant. The same principle applies here. When we undertake tasks like annual hull painting and comprehensive engine servicing, the resulting fiscal preservation is substantial. For instance, the material cost for two gallons of necessary coating is currently around $230. That annual expenditure is a fraction of what professional labor charges. #OwnerQandA #YachtMaintenance #CustomYacht #BlueWaterYacht #YachtRefit #LuxuryYachtTour #YachtLens #PacificNorthwestYachts #BoatWalkthrough #RobinsonModifiedMonk #ExpeditionYacht #UnitedYachtSales #TrawlerYacht #ElizabethRuth #YachtMaintenance #BoatCosts #DIYBoating #VesselUpkeep #SaveMoney #BoatLife
