ยฟยฟยฟY quรฉ pasรณ en la vuelta de obligado??? Se libre la gran batalla contra el plan anglofrancรฉs para dominar el rรญo Uruguay y tener libre navegaciรณn del Paranรก. Juan Manuel de Rosas, sin una fuerza naval competente para hacer frente a la intromisiรณn extranjera, dispuso la instalaciรณn de baterรญas prรณximas a San Pedro, provincia de Buenos Aires, en la conocida Vuelta de Obligado. Este lugar estratรฉgico en la orilla occidental del Paranรก es un recodo barrancoso con escasos 40 metros de profundidad y unos 700 metros de ancho. El combate se iniciรณ al amanecer del dรญa 20 de noviembre de 1845, con un intenso caรฑoneo y fuertes descargas de cohetes sobre las baterรญas argentinas. El combate durรณ siete horas durante las cuales la intensidad del fuego. Esta Batalla es un hito en la formaciรณn de nuestra historia como Naciรณn, porque unidos por la fรฉrrea convicciรณn de la defensa y salvaguarda de nuestro territorio, los argentinos demostramos ser un paรญs joven pero maduro en sus creencias. Aรบn en desigualdad de fuerzas y sin la tecnologรญa de guerra que los extranjeros desplegaron en los frentes, la defensa nacional resistiรณ, con el honor de quien por amor y patriotismo elige anteponer su vida antes que la libertad de un compatriota.
