This base operated from 1942 to 1947 before being abandoned. The first week for the season ending frosties regatta at SLYC was sailed under grey skies with big breeze. The crew on the Sigma 33 Squawk showed the rest of the YTC 2 yachts how to handle the spinnaker with ease. They setup to go deep and flew down the last run on the way to second place in Race 2.
