This Aviation has: 2 ½ ounces of gin ¾ ounce lemon juice (fresh squeezed) ½ ounce Luxardo Liqueur ½ ounce Creme de Violette 1 Luxardo cherry (optional) 1 strip of lemon peel for garnish Place gin (I used Empress Indigo Gin!), Luxardo liqueur, and Crème de Violette, lemon juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake the cocktail shaker until the shaker is cold and the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Pour the cocktail in a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry and a strip of lemon peel. For the modern sailor, it is essential when crossing oceans as back up to the modern and much relied upon electronic navigation. If you are curious about how to use a sextant or have taken the RYA Yachtmaster or Ocean Theory courses, or are even self-taught, our celestial sailing weekends are ideal offering both an introduction and a refresher. All are welcome. A big advantage is that you learn in a small group, under the supervision of an expert instructor. The weekends involve sailing along the south side of the Isle of Wight and back up through the Needles. A beautiful area to sail whilst offering ample opportunity to practice using the sextant.
