► Since 1973, the La Rochelle Boat Show, known simply as “Le Grand Pavois” in French, has been THE not-to-be-missed afloat show on France’s Atlantic coast. With 750 boats on display and a record 80,000 visitors, the 2023 event (that ran from September 20 to 25, so a little earlier than usual) clearly benefited from the scheduled absence of the Paris Boat Show at the end of the year. I wanted to be able to hide an LCD behind a mirror in my bathroom. I built a frame out of plastic, drilled a hole through my wall for the VGA and power cables and put it all together. It turned out better than I hoped. It looks really good in person.
