The embodiment of spirit and adventure, this Gunboat 48 is on the search for her next custodian. Born of Gunboat's singular focus to quality and durability, 'Vela' has spent much of her life travelling to the world's most spectacular locations. 'Vela' has received an extensive refit ensuring that she is 100% ready to go on her next adventure. Lightweight, robust and featuring North 3Di technology flying from a Marstrom Carbon mast supported by ECsix carbon rigging, 'Vela' strikes the balance between performance and comfort in a manner rarely seen on catamarans under 50ft. The saloon space flows beautifully into the hulls and forward into the forward cockpit which, of course, leaves the aft cockpit space open and free for socialising and watching the world go by. Professionally managed and maintained, 'Vela' is ready to set sail. Cure Marine is proud to be appointed as the global central agent for this iconic Gunboat 48. We’re taking a "mental health day" away from the 1973 VW Bus restoration! 🚌💨 While we’re saving $12,000 by doing our own repairs, we decided to spend some of that "saved" energy on one of Arizona’s most iconic hikes: Picacho Peak. If you’ve never been, it’s a steep one! Between the Hunter Trail and those famous steel cables, it was quite the workout for this 60-year-old and her boyfriend. It’s important to step away from the project sometimes so you can come back with fresh eyes and a steady hand. Beautiful views, sore legs, and a great day in the Arizona sun. Tomorrow, we get back to the bus! SUBSCRIBE to follow our journey of DIY repairs, desert adventures, and proof that life only gets better at 60! 🛠️🥾 #PicachoPeak #ArizonaHiking #VWBusLife #ActiveSeniors #HikingArizona #DesertLife #DIYRestoration #LadiesWhoHike #HunterTrail

After sailing from the Turks and Caicos we sought refuge in Ocean World Marina for the hurricane season. We knocked out a lot of boat projects including one that happened during our stay at the marina before setting off to Samana and the Puerto Rico! Check out the full episode on our experience in the DR and doing the Mona Passage.
