Sailing through Stewart island, at the bottom of New Zealand, we came across a cage diving boat, who was chumming the water for their clients. We tied to the back of them and saw 5-7 great whites circling our boats. What happened next was CRAZY! SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!! Che emozione tornare in oceano per un viaggio lungo come questo. Che emozione disormeggiare e stivare le cime. Non serviranno per quasi un mese, d’altronde, e questo non è già da solo un evento straordinario? Gli ultimi giorni sono stati pieni di imprevisti e rallentamenti. Di lavori e sudore. Ma che importa, quando voli a 8 nodi verso una notte di oceano e di promesse. Niente luna, buio dappertutto, ma tanta luce a bordo di questa piccola oasi che corre verso casa.
