Just wrapped up the IAFOR Aging and Gerontology Conference in Tokyo. 865 delegates from 65 countries, bringing together perspectives that are international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary. A few days of plenaries, panels, and parallel sessions— and above all, a genuine exchange of ideas. A powerful reminder of the breadth and depth of research on aging, and the importance of learning from one another. More reflections to come. — Lowell Lowell Sheppard is a sailor, author, and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, sharing insights on longevity, community, and life in Japan through the Pacific Solo channel and Never Too Late Academy. #iafor #Tokyo #Aging #Gerontology #Longevity #AcademicConference #GlobalResearch #HealthyAging #NeverTooLate #PacificSolo #Education #Leadership

We visit Mt. Airy, NC and find ourselves in another time and place. Walking the streets and talking to the locals is the best part of visiting this town and it doesn't take long to realize where the idea for Mayberry came about. Mt. Airy is a place where there are no strangers and there is never a dull moment.
