New Zealand is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, places to travel. Back in 2017 I spent five months there spearfishing and freediving throughout the entire country. Exploring not just on land, but under the sea as well was an amazing experience. The kelp forests were especially fun to dive through. Here you see me diving in the Coromandel Peninsula. After finding a cool rock formation, I knew I had to dive down and see what was underneath. Although there was no fish, it was still an amazing freedive and one that I'll never forget! . . Peterson of Peterson Builders, Inc. in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and built in 1946. Utopia’s unique features include a steel double bottom for strength, wooden hull sides for warmth, and twin Detroit diesel engines. Visitors can marvel at her elegant lines, learn about her global circumnavigation, and appreciate the craftsmanship that has kept her sailing for decades. Utopia currently resides under the stewardship of the her new owners based in Manitowoc Wisconsin, where it continues to inspire curiosity and passion for the Great Lakes among learners of all ages.
