Seven years into boatlife, I sometimes look back at the naive girl I was when we first stepped on board ForTuna, unsure whether I envy her optimism or feel grateful to be a seasoned liveaboard now. She definitely didn’t expect these five things: 1. How much mental energy small decisions take. Weather, anchorages, groceries, maintenance, nothing is big on its own, but everything needs attention. 2. How quickly “adventure” turns into routine. And how necessary that routine becomes if you want to stay. 3. How comforting familiarity feels. Knowing one anchorage well can feel richer than constantly moving on. 4. How little the big moments matter compared to the small ones. It’s not the passages you remember most, but the everyday rhythms. 5. How boatlife doesn’t become easier, you just learn what actually matters. Stay Salty, Greta and Michael #sailing #sailinglife #liveaboard #sailingadventure #liveaboardlife
An estimated 60 thousand people watched the free concert from the Platja de Bogatell and from local beaches, along with an 800-strong audience from the America’s Cup community viewing from inside the America’s Cup Fanzone. The opening ceremony of the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup was a memorable spectacle and befitting of the oldest continually contested event in international sports – the 173 year old America’s Cup. The Louis Vuitton 37th Match Racing starts October 12. #AC37 #AmericasCup #Barcelona2024
