► Full test in Multihulls World N°201: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/catamaran/bali-58-a-new-full-comfort-flagship ► The biggest of the Balis is impressive to say the least! During our visit, we were able to see for ourselves what you get on the water with platform measuring 1,500 square feet (139.5 m²), a surface area almost 20% larger than is offered by the competition. The integral deck instead of a trampoline is able to offer both a forward cockpit and a real beach club area at the stern - connected to a hydraulic platform - but also optimal rigidity. To keep weight under control, the yard has used Catana technology, implementing carbon structural bulkheads. While the overall design remains in keeping with the Bali style, the coachroof is slightly larger, with narrower side decks. On board, you’ll find the opening forward door, the saloon-cockpit (a true Bali signature) and the famous tilting aft door. The galley, chart table/desk and cabins (of which there are anywhere from 3 to 6, depending on the version) are all designed in an XXL spirit that should satisfy the most demanding owners in terms of comfort. The saloon can accommodate no less than 12 guests. As for the flybridge, it has become a genuine rooftop! ► Technical specifications Architect: Xavier Faÿ Design: Piaton Bercault Yacht Design Overall length: 57’11” (17.65 m) Beam: 29’9” (9.06 m) Draft: 4’10” (1.47 m) Displacement: 54,900 lbs (24.9 t) Sail area: 1,700 sq ft (158 m²) Engines: 2 x 80 or 115 HP Fuel: 317 US gal (1,200 l) Water: 348 US gal (1,320 l) CE Category: A16 / B16 / C24 / D40 ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! GTFO plan - Our 1984 Catalina 30' under sail There is no better feeling than flying with the wind on a sailboat! This is a short clip from our current "practice" boat. We currently own a 1984 Catalina 30’ monohull sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. This is our practice boat and is not designed for the open ocean and too small for full-time, liveaboard life. Our future boat will be a Neel 51' trimaran! We want to share our GTFO plan of retiring early to explore the world. We plan to retire June 1, 2023, Dennis’s mandatory retirement date when he will have served 30 years in the Army. We plan to buy a Neel 51’ trimaran (http://www.neel-trimarans.com/modele_bateau/neel-51/). A trimaran is much safer than a catamaran, more comfortable than a monohull, faster to escape bad weather, and spacious to accommodate our Brady Bunch, and possibly you! We plan to name her Just a Kiss which describes our wonderful 2nd date back in 2015. Learn with us as we prepare to GTFO and sail the world! Kisses, Ann & Dennis
