#Stingrays are nocturnal, so during daylight, they’re usually sleeping under #coralreef or buring themselves in the sand. But their habit of burying themselves under the seabed is also their technique for stalking prey. However, here we caught them on camera comfortably chilling or probably napping on the open ocean floor of #Komodo, or maybe they have a day off and just hanging there. Watched the fog roll off the summits here for a good thirty minutes. This was late April and truly enjoyed looking out over the hillsides to see green trees starting to fill in. As with Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee had been sparse with tree cover. I had started to worry about sunburn.
