In diesem kurzen Ausschnitt zeige ich dir einen praktischen Stauraumbereich an Bord der Segelyacht „Schnuddel“: Wir haben insgesamt 80 Meter Ankerkette an Bord – ganz normal dimensioniert, aber oft und gerne genutzt. Dazu kommen in diesem Bereich noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten wie Spannbetttücher (wenn ihr die haben wollt, ist das kein Problem 😉). Spannend wird es unten drunter: Dort liegt ein großer, massiver Haken, den wir benutzen, wenn es mal Anker- oder Mooring-„Salat“ gibt – speziell in Revieren wie Griechenland, wo sich Mooringleinen, Ketten und Bojen gerne ineinander verhaken. Mit so einem Haken ist man deutlich entspannter, wenn irgendwo unter Wasser etwas nicht so liegt, wie es soll. After months of island-hopping across the Mediterranean, our Lagoon 440 Kaia has finally brought us to Sardinia – and the pace of life here instantly feels different. We’ve sailed close to 1,000 nautical miles this season, from Spain’s mainland to the Balearics, and our recent crossing to Sardinia was our longest and most magical passage yet. This week, we drop the sails and take time to soak in Sardinia’s wilder side. Under a gentle breeze, we make a short sail down the coast to the peaceful anchorage of Punta de S’Achivoni, where we celebrate Vika’s birthday surrounded by calm seas, turquoise water, and our three salty dogs. From there, we follow the eastern coastline past deserted beaches and rugged mountain backdrops, before stepping ashore in the quaint town of Portoscuso – our final stop together before Vika heads off to Ibiza. Next episode, it’s just Sam at the helm for his very first solo sail, taking Kaia and the dogs toward the southern tip of Sardinia – tackling the challenges of single-handed sailing for the first time.
