With just six days remaining, I'm diligently continuing my preparations for the upcoming voyage across the Pacific from Hawaii to Japan. Today's task is to remove Starlink, as I'm eager to take it on the journey. Unfortunately, this process has been delayed by a day due to yesterday's evacuation of the coastline here in Okinawa, prompted by a Tsunami alert following the deadly earthquake in Taiwan. A 3-meter wave was predicted, but thankfully, it never materialized. Stay tuned for further updates as I progress. Keep following along! It`s Never Too Late https://www.nevertoolateacademy.com/
_______________________________________________________ CATAMARAN INNOVATORS SINCE 1984 Lagoon was formed in pursuit of connection – with ourselves, our loved ones and the world around us. By bringing the human experience to the 7 seas, we’ve been able to unleash an unbridled sense of curiosity and instinctual need for quality since 1984. Something we wouldn’t have accomplished without a collective passion for spectacular destinations and even better journeys getting there. As confirmed sailors, we all know that our boats have to be fast, comfortable and safe: seaworthy. We build them based on our love of the sea and the constant aim of good-quality work. We design them as if we were the future owners. As shipbuilders and sailors, it is part of our logic. This year, Lagoon is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. For this special occasion, the brand invited customers to Lagoon Exclusive Days in Bordeaux. The European press and over 400 customers came from around the world to discover the full Lagoon product range, from the Lagoon 40 to the SEVENTY 8, and to explore the exceptional production facilities for Lagoon catamarans. This was a behind-the-scenes look and total immersion in the world of Lagoon, celebrating 40 years of innovation and striving for excellence. My galley make over has been slowly happening over the last few months, from a brand new kitchen floor to a new table top and a new benchtop. I tiled a mosaic backsplash behind the sink, and for anyone telling me not to tile my boat, hey it looks epic so please be quiet! :) Thank you! But the actual questions: was it a good idea installing a mixer tap in the kitchen? Yes and no! It is great to have hot water, to be able to clean my dishes properly and what not, but on the other hand having a proper tap means I use a lot more water! And on a boat fresh water is sacred. I don't have a water maker. I am very aware of how much water I use, but if I have guest over and they turn the tap on and the water runs, it always gives me an anxious feeling. Switch back to a foot pump and cold water? I don't think so, but I am tempted to install a saltwater pump to rinse off dishes etc... Let me know what you guys would do! IG:yvonnemarianna.travels
