Our First Day Sailing Our New Sailboat Sailing Our Sceptre Novice Sailing Couple Me and the Kiwi We took our new sailboat out for four hours in Anacortes, Washington. It was amazing. This is our first boat. We had a beautiful day, the sun sparkled off the water like diamonds as we glided out to sea. We felt the power of the wind in our sails---until the wind died, and we didn't! Then we ate lunch! What an incredibly inspiring day. Remember: Travel is a state of mind, not a state of finance. Life on a sailboat can be quite exciting. Good thing we are up for the adventure. Winds are gusting to above 40 knots and sustained at 30 knots. Living in the Gulf of Kotor during Winter keeps us on our toes for sure.
