đ± Did you know? Venus flytraps donât actually NEED you to hand-feed them to survive! Theyâre carnivorous but get most of their energy from photosynthesis â just like any other plant. The bugs they catch act more like a natural fertilizer (extra nitrogen & nutrients) that helps them grow bigger traps and stay extra healthy. â If your flytrap is outdoors in full sun: It will catch plenty of flies, ants, and spiders on its own. You rarely need to do anything! â Indoors: You can feed it occasionally (1-2 small bugs per month max, like a fly or bloodworm) if you want faster growth. But donât overdo it â triggering too many traps wastes the plantâs energy. Pro tips for happy flytraps: âą Use only distilled, rainwater, or RO water (tap water kills them with minerals) âą Bright direct sunlight (or strong grow lights) â 8+ hours a day âą Nutrient-free soil (peat moss + perlite mix) âą Never use fertilizer! Drop a â€ïž if you have a Venus flytrap and tell me: indoor or outdoor? Watch it loop and see that satisfying snap again! đȘŽâš #VenusFlytrap #CarnivorousPlants #PlantCare #Flytrap
