Have you ever seen the Harlequin Shrimp? These shrimps only grow about 5 cm long. But don't let the size fool you, they are capable of hunting preys much bigger than them. Their favourite food are the tube feet and other soft tissues of sea stars. As you can see in this video, the struggle of both the shrimps and the sea star, an amazing encounter during our season in Thailand last year. First time in the Atlantic!! We have a furler problem we need to fix so we are heading out around marathon key. Off grid living comes with it’s unique set of problem that need fixing. Especially when off grid means living on a boat. We were anchored on the gulf side and the boat yard is on the Atlantic side so away we go! Two hour cruise around the island to get to a spot that would take ten minutes to walk to lol! Quit a large change of pace from life on land to living on a boat! Thankfully we are no longer in a rush to do much of anything these days, so a little day cruise is under way! Sadly the sails stay down for this one. Next time though.
