Domenica di pulizie e assestamenti. Siamo ancora un po’ sballottati dagli ultimi eventi e stiamo riprendendo il giro. Pensavamo di salire sul Monte Pico ma la pioggia ha risposto no. Noi allora abbiamo rilanciato con una di quelle attività con cui passerei le giornate: fare la lista della cambusa avanzata. Ahhh che bel mestiere. Si svuotano tutti i gavoni, si scrive su un foglio esattamente cosa c’è e in quali quantità, poi si rimette via tutto (ordinatamente). Bellissimo. Sono un paio di giorni che ragioniamo se fare il murales sul pontile oppure no. Alla fine oggi ho visto un buco di un vecchio murales ormai sbiadito subito di fronte alla barca. Che occasione! Insieme a @renatomorello_originale (che si è fatto PROPRIO OGGI Instagram 🔥) abbiamo creato una dima di cartone con la quale fare lo stencil di Julia. Verrà un bel lavoro. Il est toujours assez étonnant de voir d’où commence la naissance des OVNI et des Cigale… L’arrivée des plaques d’aluminium prédécoupées sur palette… De cette forme initiale, plane, les hommes lui apportent rondeurs et formes autour du mannequin. Le savoir-faire de nos compagnons, comme Louison, réside dans l’assemblage par soudure-pointée. Ces feuilles d’aluminium de 4 à 10 mm d’épaisseur sont rapprochées et soudées entre elles pour devenir une coque, un pont et enfin un voilier d’une robustesse incroyable. Il faut compter 10 semaines en moyenne en chaudronnerie avant que cette unité en aluminium rejoigne l’étape de la peinture. ENGLISH PRESENTATION Louison makes you discover his job as a metalworker and what drives him on a daily basis through his testimonial. This 21-foot 4-inch all-fiberglass boat was designed with a nod to the growing popularity of pontoons in coastal markets, where they often run in salt water. There's nothing wrong with running an aluminum boat in salt water -- the Navy does it every day -- but there's no question a fiberglass boat better fits the décor, if you will, in the coastal community. In other words, you won't look like you just moved in from Minnesota. The Fun Chaser hull has a one-piece catamaran-type bottom topped with a perfectly flat fiberglass deck, to which fiberglass seat bases are mounted. The outboard face of the seat bases form the "sides" of the boat. The seating is typical for a pontoon, with a pair of facing lounges forward and a wrap-around aft lounge in the port corner. There are boarding gates at the bow, amidships to port, and at the stern where there's a bit of a swim platform and a ladder. All the lounge seats have deeply-bolstered backs and a polished stainless top rail, and stainless steel drink holders are scattered liberally about. Stowage below each seat is generous because the deck is cut away so the compartment goes down into the hull.
