รntligen fรฅr vi lite vind, nu kan vi segla i 5-6knop och det gรถr nรฅgot med humรถret pรฅ en gรฅng! Att traggla fram i 1-2knop har kรคnts lite segt. Nu har vi รคtit upp all fรคrdiglagad mat som vi hade i kylskรฅpet, nu fรฅr vi bรถrja fรฅnga fisk eller รคta av det vi har i frysen. Dagarna gรฅr och nรคstan flyter ihop. Pรฅ dagarna hjรคlps vi รฅt med att segla, ta hand om barnen och fixa mat. Klockan 20.00 pรฅ kvรคllen fรถrsรถker jag gรฅ och sova fรถr att gรฅ upp kl 02.00 fรถr mitt nattpass. Barnen brukar vakna vid 07.00 och Niklas kommer lite senare, sรฅ han fรฅr sova nรฅgon timme till. Behรถver jag sรฅ tar jag en tupplur mitt pรฅ dagen men ofta har det rรคckt med lite vila i fรคllstolen pรฅ dรคck โ๏ธโต๏ธ Nu ska vi njuta av vinden som vi har och hoppas fรฅnga nรฅgon fisk nu nรคr sjรถgrรคset fรถrsvunnit ๐๐ . Day 11. Pretty exhausting day. The night started gusty, and we ended up hand steering most of it just to keep the boat going downwind. At some point we managed to adjust the sails and get things a bit more balanced, which helped a lot. In the morning, we set up wing on wing and decided to try a warp line to stabilize the boat. We used about 100 feet of line, a chain, and a fenderโฆ and it actually made a big difference. The boat settled down a lot more, which was a relief. Later, the wind shifted, so we had to change things up again and kept adapting as the day went on. Itโs been a rough one. Five meter waves have been pretty normal, and weโve been soaked more times than I can count from waves crashing over. Most of the day weโve been sitting on the floor to eat, because itโs the only place that feels stable. Butโฆ weโve also been flying. We hit a new speed record, averaging around 7 knots for most of the day, which is pretty wild. So yes, fun to go fast. But also very tiring.
