Halekai is Hawaiian for ‘house on the sea’ – and what a house! The name of the owners’ previous yacht also has Hawaiian origins, so this elegant, powerful sloop is a natural progression for a highly experienced repeat customer. Based on a Bloemsma fabricated aluminum hull, Halekai, the fourth yacht in the 128 series, was completed by Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, UK and is the second successful project we have completed with the Cornish yard. Although based on the well-proven 128 hull design, Halekai is highly customized with a flexible deckplan package for regatta performance, specialized kite surfing and sailboard stowage in the amidships cockpit and a custom navigation station in the aft deckhouse which leads into the working cockpit. Hoek Design is responsible for the general arrangement and all the interior joinery and worked closely with celebrated American interior designer Ken Fulk who has injected a Hawaiian influence. The yacht can accommodate eight guests, including the owners, and five crew.

Full test in Multihulls World Special Issue N°24 Forever Green: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/motor/sy62-3-deck-open-an-eco-friendly-catamaran-designed-for-long-range-cruising ► Developed using the Silent 60 as a base, the 62 has gained 34½” of extra hull length, but is above all, the brand’s first model with three deck levels.: cabins in the hulls, central nacelle, and flybridge. Until now, the yard was offering an optional helm station featuring a retractable T-Top for protection, but aboard the 62, there’s an immense 538-square foot (50 m²) flybridge that remains fixed. This generous surface area provides space for a bar, galley, dining table and large bench-seating for 10 to 12 people. The flybridge is of course covered by a vast T-Top, which not only provides protection but, above all, is suitable for installing an optimal surface area of solar panels. But the manufacturer goes a step further than the classic open fly version - which is the one we got to test at Cannes - as this third level can also be converted into a closed saloon or owner’s suite. The drivetrain chosen for this model is identical to that of the Silent 60: despite its displacement now approaching 40 tons, the 62 is capable of covering 100 nautical miles in 100% electric mode - at reduced cruising speed, of course. A kite can also be deployed for longer passages on favorable points of sail. ► Builder: Silent Yachts Length: 61’11” (18.86 m) Beam: 29’6” (8.99 m) Draft: 3’1” (0.93 m) Displacement: 86,000 lbs (39 t) Cabins: 4 Motors: 2 x 340 kW Battery: 286 kWh Solar panels: 17 kWp ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! In this episode, Sono and Naren visit Silent Yachts' shipyard in Fano to check on the progress of their Silent Grace. A truly special moment, as they had the chance to leave a message on the hull of their catamaran: "May Grace carry us safely and with joy across the sea. May she be our home on the ocean." A heartfelt wish and a glimpse into the unforgettable moments ahead—whether it’s time spent with family, days of exploration, or starry nights found only in the middle of the ocean. What message would you leave on your boat? Let us know in the comments!
