Não gostava desse bicho. Mas, a partir do sétimo mês de idade notei que o macho (o THOR) era muito apegado comigo. Então comecei a leva-lo diariamente nas minhas caminhadas. Criou-se, entre nós, uma amizade muito bonita e elogiada por pessoas amantes dos pets. Com o tempo, de forma natural e impeceptível, o cão passou a me obedecer em muita coisa, Inclisive não atravessandoa rua sem minha ordem. No mês que completei 66 anos, 2,5 anos após ter o Thor, por insistênica de amigos e principalmente da minha filha, comprei minha primeira bicicleta da vida. Quando fui pedalar a primeira vez meu corção partiu ao deixar meu amigo. Tentei coloco-lo no guidão, mas ele é grande e eu muito barbeiro. Então encostei a bike e não andei enquanto não comprei um reboque para puxá-lo. Como sou aventureiro por natureza, resolvi criar um desafio: sair de Morrinhos, GO, e chegar até Paraty, RJ, onde mora minha filha.

Dags att vara 100 % ärlig. Här är exakt varför vi seglade över Atlanten med bara genuan. Vår prio nummer ett när vi seglar är säkerhet. Att bara behöva hantera ett segel när något oväntat händer gör allt enklare och tryggare. Vi slipper vända båten i 5 meter höga vågor för att ta ner storen eller gå upp mot vinden i sjö för att hissa den igen. På nätterna seglar vi konservativt, så att den som vilar faktiskt får sova och den som är vaken kan hantera allt själv från sittbrunnen. Vi har haft mer än tillräckligt med vind, vi har faktiskt seglat cirka 90 % av tiden med revad genua. Ju mer vind, desto mindre segel vill vi ha uppe. Att hissa storseglet blev helt enkelt aldrig aktuellt för oss. Och när det rullade och vi hade lite mindre vind så valde vi också att ha revad genua för att plana till genuan så att den inte slår och skapar förslitningsskador. Detta är kanske en opopulär åsikt, men vet ni vad? Vi seglade konservativt över Atlanten och det passade oss perfekt. 👉 Håller du med, eller är detta helt galet? ⛵️ Får man ha en opopulär åsikt?

Have you ever wondered how we get the grain pattern on our bulkheads to match the doors? It’s easy really, our doors are cut out from the bulkheads. Our bulkheads are laminated in place, they are made of two, 15mm thick marine grade plywood panels bonded together, there is also 0.9-1.2mm thick Sapele mahogany veneer on each side. This is the wood you see once the bulkhead is finished and we like it to match the door, perfectly. Before the bulkhead can be fitted, if there is a doorway, it needs to be added. This poses a few problems. Because every boat is individually built, one boat differs from the next so each yacht uses wood from the same tree, and this keeps the colour and grain pattern consistent throughout, but cutting out a door from a bulkhead would cause the bulkhead to flex. Even at over 30mm (1 1/4 in) thick a little flex could cause a problem and make it difficult to close a door once it’s installed. For this reason, we cut out the door, add the laminated Sapele mahogany frame to the bulkhead and 6mm of solid Sapele mahogany around the door and then fit the door into the bulkhead and secure the two together. Only then do we fit the bulkhead into position on the yacht. Once the bulkhead is securely laminated in place, the doors are removed and labelled before varnishing. The doors and the bulkheads are varnished separately. The bulkheads remain unvarnished to allow the GRP laminate and glues that attach the bulkhead to the hull to bond fully with the wood.
